1. Who we are

This Policy describes how the operator of dleagues.com (“we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the Service.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:

• Usage and technical data: browser type, device type, approximate region, pages viewed, timestamps, referral URL, and similar logs common to web hosting.
• Analytics: if Google Analytics or similar tools are enabled, they may collect online identifiers (such as cookie IDs), device/browser data, and interaction events. See Google’s policies for details.
• Local storage: high scores, selected bat progress, voice preferences, age-gate acknowledgment, and similar settings stored in your browser (localStorage / sessionStorage).
• Leaderboard data: a display name and score you choose to submit, stored on our server (e.g., scores.json via PHP).
• Optional payments: if you tip via PayPal or another processor, payment details are handled by that processor under their privacy policy—not by us directly.
• Player counter: a simple monthly visit/player counter may store a cookie or similar flag to avoid double-counting.

We do not require account registration. We do not intentionally collect sensitive identity documents.

3. How we use information

• Operate, maintain, and improve the game and website
• Display leaderboards and track unlocks/high scores on your device
• Measure traffic and performance (analytics)
• Prevent abuse and secure the Service
• Comply with law if required

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process data based on: performance of a requested service; legitimate interests (security, basic analytics, operating a free game); consent where required (e.g., non-essential cookies if we implement a consent banner); and legal obligation when applicable.

5. Sharing

We may share information with:

• Hosting providers (e.g., web hosts such as HostGator) that process data on our behalf
• Analytics providers (e.g., Google)
• Payment processors when you choose to pay/tip
• Authorities when required by law

We do not sell your personal information for money. Leaderboard names and scores are public by design if you submit them.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service may use cookies, localStorage, and similar technologies for essential functions (age-gate session, preferences, counters) and analytics. You can clear site data in your browser settings; doing so may reset scores stored only on your device.

7. Retention

Server logs and analytics are retained according to host/provider defaults or our operational needs. Leaderboard entries may remain until removed or the file is reset. Local device data remains until you clear it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate for a small free web game. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Children

The Service is for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the standard). If you believe a minor has submitted data, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. International transfers

Servers and providers may be located in the United States or other countries. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws.

11. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights regarding data we control, contact us. For analytics or payment data held by third parties, you may need to contact them directly.

12. Do Not Track

The Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals in a standardized way.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a new version on this page. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
